Herson Carballo

Lab Manager – Surgical Instrument Repair

Here are a few surprising facts about Herson:

  • Originally from Costa Rica, Herson taught himself English by watching movies in English with English subtitles turned on.
  • Action movies and martial arts are his favorite movie genres.
  • He once had a car crash right into the kitchen of his home.

Patsy Mendiola

Business Manager

Patsy brought her 19 years of experience in medical supply distribution when joining Ternio in 2015. That experience included responsibilities in Purchasing, Contracts, and Account Receivables. She provides office support and customer service to the Ternio team and customers. These are some interesting and surprising things you should know about Patsy:

  • Patsy is a native Texan
  • She is fluent is Spanish and enjoys traveling to historical sites around Texas.
  • Patsy is grateful to God for her family. Her husband sons and Australian cattle dogs provide a daily dose of fun, patience, and infinite love.
  • Her interest in genealogy has led her to discover that she is descended from Puritans who arrived in America in 1630, and that she shares DNA with King Louis XVI!

Bob Baxby

Field Service Trainer/Instrument Repair Specialist

  • Bob hails from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Naturally, he loves the beach!
  • Bob lives in the country and wouldn’t have it any other way.
  • He loves to prospect for gold.
  • He’s the “daddy” of two beautiful English Bulldogs, Diesel and Georgia.

Dallas Darnell

Surgical Instrument Repair Technician

Dallas is part of Ternio’s elite group of techs who provides high quality on-site preventative maintenance and repairs for our valued customers. I am very grateful to be working with a company the treats you as if everyone is family. Proud to not only have a job here, but more importantly a career that I am excited to show up everyday.

  • A UT Tyler grad, Dallas holds a degree in kinesiology.
  • Think you are a music fan? Dallas knows his music, and challenges all comers to a song quiz!
  • He is an aspiring backyard “Pit Boss”, determined to put the “Q” back in barbecue.

Alexander Renderos

Surgical Equipment Repair Technician

Surprising facts about Alexander:

  • Alexander is a huge football fan. That is, REAL football, or what some may call soccer. He is a goalkeeper.
  • Heavy metal is not just a component in surgical equipment repair; it is Alexander’s favorite rock music genre. He used to play guitar in a metal band!
  • His technical skills were honed his home country of El Salvador where he was he was a jewelry maker for many years.

Ray Vasquez

Client Support Representative – Surgical Instrument Repair

Ray’s position with the company is basically the face of Ternio. He visits all of Ternio’s customers regularly, meeting with department staff to assess instrument condition and repair needs as well as any particular concerns about specific items or instruments. Ray loves meeting with all of his customers and always has a smile on his face.

  • Ray is a native of what he calls “The Greatest Country in the World” — Texas!
  • He is an avid music fan with a particular fondness for 70’s R&B.
  • Ray has two amazing kids, Lauren and Dominic, as well as a handsome grandson, Cole.
  • Longhorns or Tigers? How about both! Ray is a big college sports fan. Hook’em Horns and Geaux Tigahs!
  • Ray was the founder and owner of NW Panthers Youth Football and Cheer Organization from 2001-2019.

Anthony Davis-Howell

Anthony’s responsibilities at Ternio include creating work orders for all incoming repairs, following up with customers on the status of their instruments, and delivering/picking up repairs directly from the customers.

  • Anthony is a deacon at his church.
  • He loves to run long distances for cardio.
  • He loves competition and is a sports junkie!
  • Reading and watching documentaries are among his favorite ways to spend time.

Over the past 3+ years, Steve and the team at Elektra have made many contributions to Ternio’s growth and success through thoughtful collaboration with the company’s founders on brand strategy/development/communication and various marketing tactics, campaigns and initiatives. This website, the videos on the Solutions pages, the content on the News page, and the marketing automation employed behind the scenes are examples of this collaboration. All but one of the following facts about Steve are true. See if you can guess which one is not.

  • He is someone who many people look up to. Mostly because he is 6″6″ tall.
  • He saw a shark while snorkeling at The Great Barrier Reef.
  • Steve is a University of Michigan graduate and a huge college football fan. Go Blue!
